Anne Simon was born in 1980 and studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Angoulême and at the École Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. In 2004, she was awarded the Young Talent Prize at the Festival International de la Bande Dessinée in Angoulême. Anne Simon is very active in the French independent publishing house MISMA, where she has already published several books of her own and for whose anthology Dopututto Max she regularly writes short stories. Her works appear regularly in newspapers, magazines and in the form of picture books. For more than ten years, she has been writing and drawing the saga of the land of Marylène in which she skillfully weaves social issues into epic narratives with strong protagonists.
